Similar to an executive director role at a non-profit or research institute, the Lab Directors translate the overall vision and mission of either/org into an actionable agenda.

Guiding Council

The Guiding Council holds the vision of either/org and steers it in alignment with shared goals and values. The Guiding Council brings their wisdom from a variety of lived experiences, professional disciplines, and theories of change.

In the future, we hope to have roles such as:

• Pattern Library Curators
• Storytellers
• Research Fellows

Since all work is on an unpaid volunteer basis as and until we put a funding model in place, our assumption is that we need a way to compensate folks as a precursor to inviting people into those roles. The goal of the guiding council and lab director (also uncompensated roles) is to get us on that path in 2023.
